Peer Review Process
Submitted manuscripts first undergo a preliminary editorial review, which is typically completed within one week. During this phase, the editorial team assesses the submission's alignment with the journal’s publication standards and policies. Manuscripts deemed appropriate are then forwarded to expert reviewers in the relevant field. Initially, only the abstract is shared with potential reviewers, allowing them to confirm their availability and willingness to participate in the review process. Once a reviewer agrees, they receive the full text of the manuscript, and a 15-day review period is allocated for their evaluation.
If a reviewer indicates they are unable to participate, alternative reviewers are contacted to ensure the review process can proceed smoothly. Upon completion, the reviewers’ reports are reviewed by the editor and then shared with the authors if deemed appropriate. If both reviewers recommend "rejection" or if one reviewer advises "rejection" and the other "major revision," the manuscript is declined. If one reviewer suggests "rejection" and the other "minor revision," a third reviewer is consulted. Based on this third reviewer's feedback, the manuscript is either rejected or returned to the author with revision requests.
The entire process, from submission to final decision, typically takes 30-50 days.
